The Think Tank is an intensive forum where Soundpainters from several countries, including France, United States, Italy, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Holland, Brazil, and South Africa, meet to share Soundpainting experiences. These Soundpainters and others constitute the society known as Soundpainters Around the World. Walter Thompson is the director for this Think Tank and gives instruction in advanced multidisciplinary Soundpainting composition.

The purpose of Soundpainting Think Tank 2007 is to continue developing the Soundpainting language in the professional and educational settings. The focus of this year’s event is to further develop the Soundpainting language in the visual arts and in multidisciplinary composition. During the Think Tank week, a new work will be developed and presented in 3 performances.

Soundpainting Think Tank 2007 is sponsored by the Tours Soundpainting Orchestra and Le Petit Fauchaux. Previous Think Tanks have been held in Höganäs, Sweden, and at Byrdcliffe Arts Colony in Woodstock, New York.
